"There's a guy I started dating a few months ago... A Korean-American who's never been to Korea before," Sun said of her boyfriend she met in the United States.
The Wonder Girls had been in the U.S. since last summer to continue with their singing career they had been pursuing in the country since the previous year.
Sun then added, "I did a lot of thinking before going public with my relationship but producer Park Jin-young told me not to be hesitant about it if it's in consideration of my popularity."
Park, also a singer and founder of the girls' agency JYP Entertainment, was known to have forbidden the girls from dating anyone so they may focus on their singing career but the girls recently said he lifted the ban.
Sun explained, "We have different jobs but he's a bit more older than me and a reliable person. I'll share more with you on him when the time comes."
The Wonder Girls are currently back in Korea for the first time in over a year with their second studio release "Wonder World" whose title track "Be My Baby" has been sweeping online music charts since its release in early November.
Just this week, the album placed fifth on Billboard's World Albums chart while "Be My Baby" is set to be one of the original soundtracks to the girls' upcoming TeenNick TV-Movie "Wonder Girls at the Apollo" which will make its premiere early 2012 in the United States.
